Istvan Balassa-Duck-Furmint-2023

Varietals: Istvan is a magician when it comes to blending different vineyards and this Furmint does not disappoint. As Istvan mentions "the main goal with this wine is to capture a drinkable and approachable Furmint" and we cannot agree more. Probably one of the best price quality ratio Furmints out there.

Tasting Notes: Attractive aromas of banana, quince jam, crushed yellow pears, white flowers and salty minerals.. On the palate we have a crisp with a medium body and the attack reveals sweet spices and ripe critus. One more glass please!

Wine Type: Dry white wine

Region: Tokaj, Hungary.

Ageing: 1/3 part in barrel and 2/3 in sainless steel tanks.

Alcohol: 12%

Food Pairing: White Asparagus with soft boiled egg, Fresh Goat Cheeses  and Vegetable Pies.
