Collection: Crama Mircesti-Moldova

This is one of Moldova's emblematic wineries with focus on low yields and quality wines, created mostly from local grapes.  It is located in the northern part of the country in the idyllic village of Mircești. The vine parcels are  planted at an altitude of 320 meters, which is considered to be the highest in Moldova for wine production.

It was founded in 2009 by Arcadie Foșnea one of the best winemakers in the country, with an extensive winemaking experience in Germany. The climate is moderate continental with mild winters and warm long summers and a low precipitation rate. In a discussion with Arcadie, he was mentioning that every second or third year in June there is a very high level of rainfall in the area. The production is focused on  crisp and fresh white and sparkling wines, while red wines tend to have a round and velvety structure. The total production area is around 17 hectares and grapes like Feateasca Reagala and Feteasca Alba really enjoy this microclimate, while Rara Neagra and Fetească Neagră are showing amazing character in this part of the country.
